What gift have I to bring
Packed in a box and tied with string
To one such as you
Beautiful to see
Inside more beautiful still
You are like an art gallery
As one explores
Around every corner
Something to take your breath away
Stunning beauty
Amazing power
Speaking directly to the soul
I would give you
Anything your heart desired
Poet, artist, writer, parent
Friend, healer
Today
Only one gift can I hope
To give you
No box
No string
Nothing the postman brings
But this poem
With hopes
To bring to your lips
